Italy, Oct 8. (Redazione/Adnkronos/GNA) – Patients who would under go cataract surgery, could now look forward to feeling no discomfort after the surgery.
This is the result of research and work by health experts in Italy. The formula for the solution has been exported to 90 countries.
“We have developed a new combination in Italy for patients undergoing cataract surgery, to prevent them from encountering infections or inflammation problems afterwards,” Marcello Selvaggio, Global Head Business Franchise Ophthalmology Ntc, said yesterday in Milan, at the celebration of Ntc’s tenth anniversary (Novelty, Technology, Care), among the main players in European ophthalmology and the first Italian company to launch ophthalmic products on a global scale.
“We conducted clinical research here in Italy with the main Italian ophthalmology clinics, after which we started to take this product around the world, which is now distributed in 90 countries,” he said.
Mr. Selvaggio said, “It is a great success for our country, for Ntc and for Italian ophthalmologists, and we are particularly proud of this.”
