Accra, March 16, GNA – The Federation of Muslim Councils (FMC), Ghana, has extended Eid‑ul‑Fitr greetings to Muslims, urging them to uphold the values of Ramadan by promoting unity and contributing to national development.

In a statement issued to the Ghana News Agency, the FMC said Eid‑ul‑Fitr marked the end of Ramadan, a period devoted to spiritual growth, self‑reflection and devotion to Allah.

It prayed that the fasting, prayers and good deeds undertaken during the holy month would be accepted by Allah and strengthen Muslims to remain compassionate and committed to serving humanity.

The Federation encouraged Muslims to uphold the lessons of Ramadan, particularly self‑discipline, compassion and community spirit.

It urged them to play active roles in national development by fighting corruption, supporting vulnerable groups and collaborating on sustainable infrastructure initiatives.

“Eid‑ul‑Fitr is a time for forgiveness, unity and kindness, so as Muslims we must strengthen family ties and support our communities,” it said.

The statement encouraged citizens to work together to build a cohesive and peaceful Ghana, prayed for Allah’s blessings for the nation and expressed hope for continued peace, prosperity and harmony.
