Bodi (WN/R), March 21, GNA – Muslims in Sefwi Bodi have celebrated this year’s Eid-ul-Fitr with prayers led by the District Chief Imam, Allaji Suan Alasan Gbade.
In his message, Imam AllajI Suan Alasan Gbade urged Muslims to reflect on the values of compassion, forgiveness, and unity promoted by the holy month of Ramadan.
He said Eid-ul-Fitr was a time for them to come together, strengthen family ties, and extend a hand of kindness to those in need.
Mr Stephen Baidoo, the Bodi District Chief Executive (DCE), said the Assembly was committed to developing the Zongo communities within the district to the benefit of all.
He commended the Muslims for their dedication throughout the fasting period and acknowledged their contributions to the development of the district.
The DCE also highlighted the importance of peaceful coexistence, noting that development could only thrive in an environment of harmony.
Mr Baidoo assured residents of the District Assembly’s commitment to improving the district in the area of infrastructure, education, and healthcare, and encouraged them to support government initiatives and work collectively towards progress.
“As we celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, let us remember that unity is our greatest strength, and together, we can build a better and more prosperous district,” he said.
