Sekondi (W/R), March 21, GNA – Alhaji Ahmed Osman Maiwada Masala II, the Zongo Chief of Takoradi, has called on Muslim youth to be guided by the teachings of Islam and live responsible lives beyond Ramadan.
He urged the youth to do away with bad attitudes and conduct themselves in accordance with the principles of Ramadan.
He made the call when Muslim faithful gathered at Sekondi Methodist Park to pray to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan and celebrate this year’s Eid-ul-Fitr.
He said: “Sometimes they say those of us in the Zongos misbehave, so, I am urging everyone, particularly the youth to refrain from all forms of bad characters and live righteous even as the fasting period has ended.”
Alhaji Masala II also implored all Muslims to continue to live in peace and harmony with one another and pray for Allah’s continuous blessings upon their families and the nation.
He said Islam was about Love peace and unity and asked them to play their part in upholding the principles of peace in their communities to help build a prosperous nation for all.
