Atebubu, (Bono East) March 04, GNA – Mr Sanja Nanja, the Member of Parliament for Atebubu/ Amantin Constituency in the Bono East Region, has donated a brand-new motorcycle to support the operations of the Atebubu Community Watch Group.
The Atebubu Traditional Council sets up the committee to strengthen the security of the area.
Speaking at a brief ceremony, Ohempon Dr Yeboah Asiamah, the Paramount Chief of the Atebubu Traditional Area, thanked the MP for the gesture, explaining that he instituted the committee to augment police efforts in enhancing security of the area.
He pledged to ensure that the committee utilised the machine for the intended purpose and would also take proper care of it.
Ohempon Asiamah commended the committee for their hard work in helping to sustain the prevailing peace of the area, and urged cooperation from the people, appealing for more support to enhance the patrol activities of the group.
Mr Francis Nando, the Atebubu/Amantin Constituency Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, made the presentation on behalf of the MP.
