Assin Dopim (C/R), Mar 04, GNA – A 37-year-old teacher at Faith Academy Basic School in the Assin Fosu Municipality of the Central Region, Mr Emmanuel Kofi Quainoo, has allegedly taken his own life under circumstances that remain unclear.
Sources at the school said the deceased had been absent from work for some time and had only resumed duties a few days ago.
On the day of the incident, he reportedly informed colleagues that he was unwell and needed to seek medical attention. He subsequently left the school around 1200 hours after the second break.
Shortly after his departure, news of his death reached the school. Reports indicated that Mr Quainoo was found unresponsive in his room at Assin Fosu.
His two daughters, aged eight and seven, reportedly discovered him upon returning from school and raised the alarm.
The incident has been reported to the Police, and investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
