Big-Ada, Feb. 24, GNA — Nene Adela Haviatse Vleh II, the Kudzragbe Divisional Chief in the Big Ada Traditional Area, has called on all factions involved in the recent dispute over the divisional chief position to work together for the development of the clan and the Ada State.

His appeal follows the official publication in the Ghana Gazette of January 16, 2026, which confirmed the change of name of Ebenezer Narh Domeh to his stool name, Nene Adela Haviatse Vleh II, effective May 5, 2025.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Ada, Nene Vleh described the situation not as a fight among clan members but as a process aimed at resolving misunderstandings.

“No one will deliberately bring the clan into public disrepute. Seeking redress through the law is one of the legitimate ways to resolve such matters,” he said.

The divisional chief explained that the Kudzragbe clan comprises three main gates: Fuvier, Agorvie, and Amlade, noting that the divisional chief position was traditionally reserved for the Fuvier gate.

“So, within the Fuvier gate, we also have three families, namely Wornorwem, Labiawem, and Vlehwem,” he stated.

He said when the seat became vacant, the Vlehwem family, with support from the Labiawem family, installed him, adding, however, that the Wornorwem family also installed three different persons to contest his position, leading to the matter being referred to the Judicial Committee.

He urged members of the clan to remain peaceful and focused on unity and development while the appropriate traditional and legal processes take their course.
