Accra, Feb. 20, GNA – The Kasoa Divisional Police Command has donated items worth GHC20,000 and an undisclosed amount to the Royals Seed Orphanage Home at Kwaboni, near Kasoa Papase in the Central Region.
The donation included 20 packs of soft drinks, tissue papers, gallons of liquid soap, detergents, three bales of second‑hand clothes, bags of rice, cartons of biscuits and 20 packs of bottled water.
Chief Superintendent of Police Adam Ahmed Mahama, Commander of the Division, and Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Thomas Sarfo, a Senior Police Officer, led 21 other officers to present the items.
The officers interacted with the children and joined them in singing and dancing.
Chief Supt. Mahama commended the owner and staff of the home for their work over the years, noting that their sacrifice and dedication had brought joy to the children.
He urged all to be law‑abiding citizens.
ASP Sarfo encouraged the children to study hard so they could become Presidents, Members of Parliament, Police and Military Officers in future.
He said the children represented the country’s future leaders and promised to repeat the gesture by visiting them again.
Nana Okromansah Pempemhene, owner of the home, expressed gratitude for the support.
He said the home had 35 staff caring for 100 children, comprising 50 males, 49 females and one female adult who is mentally ill.
“We have children who are of ages between two weeks and 22 years old,” he said.
