GREL donates Chemistry Analyzer to Agona Nkwanta Polyclinic

Agona (W/R), Feb. 18, GNA – The Ghana Rubber Estate Limited (GREL) has donated a state-of-the-art chemistry analyzer to the Agona Nkwanta Polyclinic to enhance healthcare delivery in the Ahanta West Municipality.  

Mr Perry Acheampong, Corporate Affairs Manager of GREL, said the gesture formed part of the company’s commitment to strengthening partnerships and promoting community development.  

He said the donation went beyond providing equipment, explaining that it reaffirmed “a partnership built on trust, shared responsibility, and mutual growth.”  

Mr Acheampong underscored the critical role of health in national development, noting that a healthy population contributed to productivity and prosperity.   

He said the analyzer, valued at GH¢190,000.00, would significantly improve the facility’s ability to detect and manage metabolic, liver, and kidney conditions.  

He added that early and accurate diagnosis saved lives, reduced suffering, and strengthened families.  

“This intervention reflects our commitment to supporting the national healthcare agenda and building sustainable partnerships with public health institutions to improve the quality of healthcare delivery,” he said.  

Mr Mumuni Damma, Municipal Coordinating Director of the Ahanta West Municipal Assembly, expressed appreciation to GREL for the support and urged health workers to ensure proper use and maintenance of the equipment.  

Mr Emmanuel Badiena, Municipal Health Director, described the donation as a major boost to service delivery at the Agona Nkwanta Polyclinic and pledged that the facility would put the analyzer to optimal use.  

He encouraged other institutions to emulate GREL’s example in supporting the country’s healthcare system.  

Nana Kwesi Agyeman IX, Chairperson of the Association of Chiefs on whose Lands GREL Operates (ACLANGO), commended the company for its continuous contributions to community development and highlighted several infrastructure projects undertaken in the area.   

He urged health workers to remain dedicated to improving healthcare services.
