Sunyani, (Bono), Feb. 22, GNA – Elder Agyeman Debrah, the Presiding Elder of the Kings Assembly of the Sunyani Industrial Estate District of the Church of Pentecost says looming dangers lies ahead of heretics who desecrate the ‘precious blood of Jesus Christ’.
He said: “If heretic fails to repent, they will never escape judgment and condemnation here and hereafter”, urging Christians to remain steadfast and maintain their belief in the atoning blood.
“It’s only the blood of Jesus that has the power to save mankind from sin and attendant consequences”, he emphasised.
Delivering a sermon at the Kings Assembly Auditorium in Sunyani, Elder Debrah cautioned professed believers against the “growing public criticism and attacks on the doctrines of the blood of Jesus Christ”.
He advised that: “Don’t be distracted by the noise and the criticisms of the blood”, stressing that “It’s only the blood of Jesus that hasn’t lost its power and efficacy. The blood still saves, delivers, and restores”.
Elder Debrah explained that the doctrine of the blood of Jesus remained central to the Christian faith, symbolising sacrifice, redemption, mediation and reconciliation between the lost man and the Justice God.
He said that: “No amount of public debate or skepticism can invalidate the truth of scripture” and urged Christians to be rooted and grounded in the Word of God and to deepen their understanding too.
He said by doing so, nothing could sway Christians from sound biblical teaching to follow societal trends, urging that: “Believers must remain firm and rooted in the scriptures now that foundational beliefs are being questioned”.
“Our faith is not built on public opinion, but on the unchanging Word of God”, he stated and urged the Church to reflect on their beliefs, live righteously, show love and exhibit humility and adhere to sound biblical teachings and doctrines to obtain God’s blessings here and hereafter.
The service was marked by intense worship, prayer, and renewed spiritual commitment, signifying the essence of spiritual growth and maturity of the congregation.
