Chalom Hights marks one year of impact with PowerSide mentorship event

Accra, Feb. 10, GNA – Chalom Hights has marked its first anniversary with the hosting of PowerSide, a mentorship and leadership development event aimed at equipping young female professionals to excel in corporate and leadership spaces.

The event brought together young women, seasoned professionals and industry leaders in a purpose driven engagement that reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to intentional mentorship, access and community building.

A statement issued in Accra said the PowerSide served not only as an anniversary celebration but also as a practical demonstration of Chalom Hights’ mission to support women navigating personal and professional growth through structured guidance and shared learning.

It said at the heart of the programme was a carefully selected cohort of 10 young female corporate professionals, who formed the first group of mentees under the Chalom Hights empowerment journey.

They engaged closely with accomplished female professionals drawn from diverse sectors.

The programme featured two main components: speed mentorship sessions and a high-impact panel discussion, designed to combine personalised guidance with collective reflection and inspiration.

The statement said one of the highlights of the event was the speed mentorship session, which facilitated focused one-on-one interactions between mentors and mentees within a structured timeframe.

“Unlike traditional networking platforms, the format allowed for intentional and meaningful conversations on career progression, leadership development, workplace challenges, personal branding and navigating corporate environments as women,” it said.

The mentees benefited from direct access to practical insights, tailored advice aligned to their career aspirations and honest conversations around growth, resilience and self-leadership.

It said mentors, on the other hand, described the sessions as an opportunity to contribute to the development of the next generation of female leaders.

The event was on the theme:”Power, Purpose and Presence” which guided discussions throughout the programme.

A panel discussion featuring three experienced female professionals further deepened the conversation, with panellists sharing candid reflections on career transitions, leadership in male-dominated spaces, mentorship, and staying anchored in purpose while pursuing excellence.

Participants were encouraged to recognise that growth is often non-linear, but with clarity, discipline and support, women can navigate complex professional environments and lead with confidence.

Madam Rita Adu Boateng Founder of Chalom Hights, said “PowerSide represents everything Chalom Hights stands for creating access, building confidence and reminding women that they already carry the power they seek.”

She said when women were clear on their purpose and intentional about their presence, they do not just occupy spaces; they transform them.

She said the success of PowerSide marked the beginning of a broader vision to expand its mentorship ecosystem, deepen leadership development initiatives and create sustained platforms that move beyond inspiration to implementation.

“Future editions of PowerSide are expected to include structured mentorship cohorts, skill-building masterclasses and longer term mentor-mentee engagements,” she added
