Adidome, (V/R), Feb. 27, GNA – Mr Dodzi Addison Mornyuie, the Central Tongu District Chief Executive (DCE), has successfully conducted a district-wide Competitive Common Examination across 12 circuit centres, involving 175 basic schools in a coordinated effort to strengthen academic performance and standardisation.
The examination brought together 98 primary schools and 77 junior high schools, with candidates sitting for papers in English, Mathematics and Science.
The exercise was executed under strict supervision and in an orderly manner across all centres.
Mr Mornyuie described the initiative as a strategic intervention aimed at promoting excellence, healthy academic competition and improved learning outcomes within the district.
He noted that scripts would undergo a comprehensive marking and auditing process to ensure integrity, transparency and fairness.
“At the conclusion of the assessment, three outstanding students from each circuit, at each level and in each subject, will be duly recognised for their exemplary performance,” he stated.
He said the selected champions would advance to the district stage to compete for ultimate honours in their respective subjects and categories.
Mr Mornyuie indicated that the initiative was undertaken in collaboration with Mr Alexander Roosevelt Hottordze, the Member of Parliament for the area, underscoring a shared commitment to consolidating educational gains and raising standards across the district.
He expressed profound appreciation to circuit supervisors, head teachers, teachers, pupils and members of the planning committee for their dedication, professionalism and cooperation in ensuring the smooth conduct of the exercise.
The District Chief Executive reaffirmed the Assembly’s resolve to sustain innovative educational programmes that foster excellence and position Central Tongu as a benchmark for quality basic education
