Enchi (WN/R), January 05, GNA – Reverend Monsignor Simon Assamoah, Vicar General of the Wiawso Catholic Diocese has called on Beyeeman Tano Kwaw Benhuin III, Omanhene of Aowin Traditional Area to iron out differences with members of the traditional area as the New Year begins.

He said if both parties lived in peace and joined forces the Aowin Constituency would have better roads, schools, hospitals, jobs for the youth.

“Businesses and investors would be drawn to the area to support local economic growth,” Monsignor Asamoah added.

Monsignor Assamoah, who doubles as the Parish Priest of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Enchi, made the call in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA).

He stressed: “This was one of the ways citizens of Aowin could get its fair share of the national cake, hence they should put the interest of the people first.”

He prayed for the President John Dramani Mahama, his Ministers, and Members of Parliament (MP’s) to work together, focus more on national interest and tackle pressing challenges better.

“Although our MP’s have their political differences, they should be united and make informed decisions that will aid in solving problems and increase successes in the country” Monsignor Assamoah said.

He extended his New Year wishes to Ghanaians, prayed for God’s blessing, and encouraged everyone to dedicate themselves to God for continued protection.
