Accra, Jan. 30, GNA – The State Housing Company Limited (SHC), has commissioned a 24-hour Premium and Express Service Centre to fast-track its services towards achieving the 24-hour economic agenda,  of the government.

The facility is to ensure faster service, reduced waiting time, improved customer care, greater transparency and round-the-clock access.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Mr John S. Bawah, Managing Director of the Company, said, the construction of the Centre demonstrated their renewed commitment to service, efficiency, and transformation of the 24-hour economic agenda.

“Resetting the nation includes resetting how we serve and this service centre is a clear demonstration of that commitment,” he said.

Mr Bawah said Ghanaians had been calling for a new way of doing business in the public sector – a system that was faster, more responsive, transparent and citizen-focused.

He said such an expectation aligned with the government’s reset agenda that sought to reform institutions, improve service delivery, restore public confidence and ensure that the state entities worked efficiently for the people.

“We are building systems, we are building a modern public institution that aligns with national priorities and contributes meaningfully. We must let every customer interaction reflect integrity, empathy and efficiency. State Housing Company Limited is not just building houses, we are building trust,” he said.

He said since assuming office in 2025, the SHC had developed a medium-term strategic plan which had helped them have over 300 housing units scheduled for completion before the end of 2026.

He said plans were far advanced to pilot the Urban Redevelopment Project within the Kaneshie Estates, Kanda Estates, Adenta Estates and Efiakuma Estates in Takaoradi which would add to the national stock over 500 housing units in the short to medium term.

Mr Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources, who graced the occasion, said, if Ghana were to unlock growth, create jobs and improve the quality of life for her citizens, entities including SHC must work continuously, efficiently and inclusively.

He said the 24-hour Premium and Express Service Centre was a concrete expression of President Mahama’s policy translated into action as housing had been at the heart of the 24-hour economy.

“By providing round-the-clock access to housing related services, SHC is improving convenience, reducing transactions delays and enhancing customer experience. I urge management to ensure that this Centre is adequately staffed, properly resourced and continuously monitored,” he said.

Some of the services include Round-the-Clock Customer Support, Instant Inquiries and Real-Time Assistance, Express Processing of Requests and Documentation, Premium Client Services and One-on-One Consultations and Dedicated Support for Estate Purchases and Projects Updates.
