Bekwai (Ash), Jan. 31, GNA – Mr Joseph Osei Owusu, Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Election Committee, has called on party delegates to remain calm and vigilant as the party goes to the polls to elect its flag-bearer.
Speaking after casting his votes in the Bekwai constituency, he said there was the need for peace, order, and discipline throughout the electoral process.
Mr Osei Owusu, a former Member of Parliament for Bekwai, pointed out that unity in the party was crucial after the presidential primaries.
It was, therefore, important for each member of the party to commit him or herself towards ensuring peace and unity in the party after the elections.
He therefore urged all delegates and party officials to strictly adhere to the rules and regulations governing the election, stressing that compliance would ensure a transparent, credible, and peaceful exercise at the end of the day.
