Accra, Jan 1, GNA – Christians have been urged to be spiritually discerning by prayerfully studying the Word of God to enable them to distinguish true prophecies from fake ones and stay clear of them.
Reverend Isaac Obed Asamoah, Head Pastor of Gospel Faith Ministries, Accra, said studying the Bible would give Christians in-depth knowledge to know God personally and understand His ways.
“We are living in an era where truth is diminishing whilst falsehood is spreading fast like harmattan fire. There is so much deception in our world today,” he warned.
“To avoid falling victim to such tricks and charlatans, Ghanaians must be spiritually discerning. By reading and understanding the Scriptures, one can scrutinize every prophetic message and teaching through the Word of God,” he added.
Delivering a New Year message, Rev Asamoah urged Christians to build a personal relationship with God rather than rely on charlatanic prophets and leaders who often take undue advantage of people.
He said biblical knowledge acts as a safeguard against such manipulation.
Rev Asamoah noted that God is leading His people into a new chapter in 2026 and so Christians should continue to trust in the Lord and rely on His promises in Isaiah 45:1-7.
He also encouraged Ghanaians to depend on Him for wisdom, strength, and guidance in the new year.
He later led the congregation to pray for God’s blessings on the country and its leadership and the people for continuous peace and progress in the “land of our birth.”
