Accra, Jan. 25, GNA – Albert Amoah marked his return to Asante Kotoko in spectacular fashion, scoring a stunning overhead kick as the Porcupine Warriors cruised to a 3–0 victory over Basake Holy Stars at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Kwame Poku and Samba Oneil also found the back of the net, sealing an emphatic win that pushes Kotoko to second place on the league table with 35 points.
Accra Hearts of Oak kept pace with their rivals after a commanding 3–0 triumph over Eleven Wonders, moving level on points with Kotoko ahead of their much-anticipated Super Clash in two weeks.
Mawuli Wayo, Martin Karikari, and Kelvin Osei Asibey were all on target for the Phobians.
In Tarkwa, Kamaradini Mamudu scored a brace while Derrick Fordjour added another as Medeama SC earned a comfortable 3–1 victory over Karela United.
Berekum Chelsea returned to winning ways after two consecutive draws, claiming a solid 2–0 win over Bibiani Gold Stars.
Hohoe United failed to make home advantage count as they were held to a 2–2 draw by Vision FC.
