Ewura Adams Karim launches campaign for NDC Deputy National Communications Officer position

By Albert Allotey

Accra, Oct. 29, GNA – Mr Ewura Adams Karim, an aspiring Deputy National Communications officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has appealed to the electorates to vote massively for him come December 19, 2026, to enhance the communication of the party.

He said he had a continued duty to proclaim the good works of the party and the government across the country and to counter the propaganda, the disinformation, and misinformation of the opposition party.

He said for the NDC to get an all-round attribute of a communicator it did not need to go round looking for any other person, but it could find all of that in ‘Ewura Adams Karim.’

Mr Karim made the appeal when he officially declared and launched his campaign in Accra on for the position of Deputy National Communications Officer of the NDC.

“We need a communicator who can inspire hope in the grassroot of our party – the foot-soldiers of Adansi-Asokwa, the market women in Dabala, the youth in Sege who worked tirelessly for the party and waiting to see the fruits of the victory manifest,” he stated.

He said, “This communicator must keep the hope of all these people alive and remind them that their sacrifices were never in vain.”

“The second kind of communicator that the party needed is the one who can attract the undecided – the Ghanaian who does not carry NDC party card, but he or she carries the country in their heart,” he stated

He said this communicator must tell the story of what this government and the party have been delivering clearly and compellingly, not with noise and insults, but with prove.

He recalled that after the NDC lost the 2016 elections one of the critical issues that came up was that party members failed to communicate as a government – we did not talk of the good things that we did.

“It was only after we left office that people started seeing the good things that we did – that is why his excellency President John Dramani Mahama in his last message in Parliament in 2016 said ‘posterity would be my judge’ and indeed posterity became his judge,” he stated

“And so, we need a communicator who can spell out all the things that this government had achieved clearly and compellingly, and we must do it quickly, firmly and with confidence,” he urged.

Mr Karim said he would bring so many critical things to the table to the success of the communication of the NDC, including the creation of rapid response communication bureau so that falsehood was responded to within hours with facts and figures.

“I will bring a pipeline of trained communicators across every branch, every constituency, and every region of our party. We must continue to build on what has already been started,” he stated.

He stressed, “We will build on what had been already started. We are not introducing something new, and I can assure you that we will see many more of that happening. We will not limit it to the males; we will reach out to the female, persons with disabilities, and even people who do not speak English language.

“We will train everybody once you want to be a communicator for the NDC.“

Mr Karim stated that the party needed a structured voice for the grassroot with foot-soldiers sacrifices at the centre of their message.

He added, “The engine of our party are the people at the grassroot. They do the work at their efforts for the party to be  in government, and it will be by their efforts that the party will remain in government.”

“So, we must make the messages of the foot-soldiers the core of our issue because whatever affects our foot-soldiers affects everybody in this country. I will be a Deputy National Communications Officer who will have the foot-soldiers at heart because I am one of you.

“I have been with you in the trenches, and I will continue to be with you in the trenches,” he pledged.

He said times had changed, stressing “We are in the 21st century and our style of communication cannot be only dependent on morning shows and evening political talk shows on TV, radio, and in the newspapers.

He indicated that he would be championing an initiative to ensure that a new digital medium desk is created as part of the strategy to empower the young people in the party to counter the lies being peddled by the opposition there and then.

Mr Karim expressed gratitude to all persons who nurtured him to reach where he is today and that the electorates should vote for him come December 19, 2026, to continue with the good works of the leaders of the party.
