Tutukpene (O/R), Jan. 20, GNA- Nana Asate Owusu III, the newly installed paramount chief of the Adele Traditional Council, has made a heartfelt plea for peace and unity in Nkwanta South Municipality of the Oti Region.
During his installation ceremony, he acknowledged the long-standing tensions between the three ethnic groups in the area, hindered development, and scared potential investors away.
“We have been in the news for the wrong reasons, it is time to change the narrative, as the paramount chief, I promise to work tirelessly to bring our communities together,
Konkombas, Bassares, Ewes, Kotokolis and beyond, to create a peaceful and prosperous environment for all.”
Nana Owusu’s vision for Adele Traditional Area and beyond Oti Region includes initiatives to promote economic growth, improve infrastructure, and enhance the welfare of the people.
He emphasised the need for unity and cooperation among traditional leaders to attract investors and stimulate development in the area.
The newly paramount chief leadership is expected to bring stability and progress to Nkwanta South, and his commitment to healing ethnic tensions has been welcomed by the community.
