Accra, Dec. 12, GNA – The Luckiest Africa, a raffle gaming organisation, has donated 1000 white canes to the Ghana Blind Union (GBU) to support the mobility of the visually impaired.
The organisation also donated laptops to the GBU secretariat to support their office operations.
This comes after the organisation made an earlier promise to the GBU to support them with white canes following a visit to the union at the Accra Rehabilitation Centre.
Mr Dennis Adutwum, Chief Executive Officer of the Luckiest Africa, said the donation formed part of the organisation’s corporate social responsibility.

He said in the coming year, the organisation would be donating a chunk of its budget to support the disability groups at the centre.
“These are mobility canes for the visually impaired and we know it’s going to go a long way to help people living with disability, the blind, to freely move about.
“As an organisation, the Luckiest sees this as part of our corporate social responsibility and we encourage other corporate bodies to emulate and come to the aid of the persons with disability,” he added.
Mr Adutwum said the Luckiest raffle, which was in its third year running, had attracted a lot of patrons, adding that, the number of patrons had increased from 170,000 in its first edition in 2023 to a million in 2025.

Dr Peter Obeng-Asamoa, Executive Director of the GBU, commended the Luckiest for coming to their aid, saying it was such gestures that made a difference in their lives.
He said they would share the canes to their colleagues who did not have them, especially those in the villages and hinterlands, as well as some students.
Meanwhile, the Luckiest Africa held a special draw for the staff and students at the Centre, where they won items ranging from phones, blenders and a television set.
