Cape Coast, Dec 25, GNA – The Right Reverend Richard Ampadu Duku, the Presiding Bishop of the Family Sanctuary, Victory Bible Church-International in Cape Coast, has entreated Christians to endeavour to live a worry-free life as they exit year 2025 into a new year.
Right Rev Ampadu Duku, the Presiding Bishop of the Church in the Central Region, urged the congregation to assess their lives at the end of every year and make plans for the following years.
He, however, cautioned against worrying about past mistakes and failures and fear of the future, saying it was akin to being strangled and could lead to stagnation.
Citing Matthew 6:31, he noted that worry thrived on skeletons of the past and shadows of the future, urging the congregation to focus on the present and pick up lessons from the past to build a better future.
“Your past is a lesson, but not a death sentence,” Bishop Duku emphasised, stressing that worrying about yesterday’s mistakes or tomorrow’s uncertainties could cripple individuals’ potentials.
He entreated them to believe in their ability to make a positive change.
“Your tomorrow will be changed by what you do today and so stop regretting yesterday and focus on what you can do tomorrow.
“Yesterday was a learning curve, not a condemnation,” he added.

Referencing 1 Peter 5:7, Bishop Ampadu Duku assured that God was already in 2026 and had taken the lead in all they did.
“We don’t know what 2026 holds for us us, but don’t be afraid; only believe,” he said.
Earlier, prayers were said for the President, Ministers of State, other leaders of the country, pastors and all Ghanaians.
