Nkroful (W/R), Dec 27, GNA – The Ahomu Manle Diasporan Association (AMDA) in the Ellembelle District has presented medical equipment to the Nkroful Clinic to enhance health care delivery at the facility.
The items included two beds, one scale with height, two bed sheets, two trolleys, four BP monitor, one Manual BP monitor, two sugar test needles and a glucometer.
The Association also donated plastic chairs to the medical facility.
The donation is the second in the series the Association had supported the development of the area.
Making the presentation to management of the health facility, Mr Stephen Elievi Quaicoe, who represented Mr Menla Blay, Chairman of the Association, said the Association comprised indigenes from Nkroful through to Asasetre Ebi, Adubrim and Togbe town in the diaspora who have come together to push for the development of the Ahomu area.
He appealed to all indigenes from the area in the diaspora to come on board and unite to contribute their quota to spearhead development of the area.
He expressed gratitude to traditional rulers, Assembly Members and community leaders for the self-help initiatives to bring development to the area.
Mr Quaicoe said the Association continued to register all Nzemas from the Ahomu area in the diaspora towards unification to play an active role in shaping the destiny of the area.
Receiving the items on behalf of the health team in Ellembelle, Dr Augustine Kwesi Amoako, the Ellembelle District Director of Health Services, thanked the Association for the gesture.
He acknowledged the continued support from Companies in the area such as ADAMUS Resources Limited and the Ahomu Manle Diasporan Association to resource the Clinic.
Dr Amoako noted that even before the Ellembelle District Hospital is built, the Nkroful Clinic must be equipped with facilities to befit Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah hometown.
He said the Clinic served not only people from Nkroful but beyond and needed medical equipment to meet the daily intake of patients.
Abusuakpanyinli Senza Erzah of Nkroful on behalf of Nana Kwasi Kutua,Chief of Nkroful thanked the Association for giving back to the land of their birth.
He said the town stood in solidarity with the Association to bring in more development.
Abusuakpanyinli Erza said the government alone could not do all and encouraged well-endowed indigenes of Ahomu Manle to continue to assist the Clinic and the District Hospital which was on the drawing board.
