GTA endorses TadiFest as official 2025 December in GH activity

Takoradi, Nov. 25, GNA – The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has officially endorsed the TadiFest, as part of the 2025 December in Ghana (GH) activities. 

The TadiFest is an annual festival organised by Empire FM, Takoradi, in collaboration with the Confederation of Western Region Masqueraders filled with activities geared towards projecting the tourism potentials of the Western Region and the country in general. 

It is commemorated in December with a host of activities like the December Empire Family Picnic, December Oil City Health Walk, and the 25th of December Masquerade Carnival. 

A statement issued by the GTA said the TadiFest aligned with the Black Star Experience, which was the overarching campaign promoting Ghana’s tourism, arts, and culture on the global stage. 

The statement said the Black Star Experience was anchored on key pillars including; heritage and culture, music and entertainment, trade and investment, fashion, creative arts, and gastronomy. 

“It is designed to showcase Ghana as a hub for authentic African experiences while, deepening diaspora connections and advancing tourism-led development,” it added. 

The statement noted that the TadiFest would, contribute to the realisation of the Ghana Tourism Authority’s objective to position Ghana as the leading tourism destination in Africa. 

It said: “We encourage all relevant partners and stakeholders to support this event to ensure its success as we collectively champion GTA’s mission through the December in GH campaign and strengthen the Black Star Experience.” 

The statement expressed the GTA’s readiness to partner with the organisers of the event to continue to drive national development, economic growth, and global connection while bringing mutual benefits and lasting impacts. 

December in GH is a tourism initiative designed by the GTA to enhance domestic tourism, attract thousands from the African diaspora, and welcome tourism enthusiasts from across the globe to Ghana during the December festive season and into the New Year. 

Since its inception, it has become one of Ghana’s most impactful tourism campaigns, significantly increasing international arrivals, boosting economic growth, and strengthening cultural ties with the world.
