Bolgatanga, Nov. 21, 2025 – The Educational Procurement and Supply Chain Officers Association of Ghana has called on sister associations within the education sector, to strengthen collaboration, unity, and constructive dialogue to enhance the delivery of quality education across the country.
Mr Thomas Ayipala, the Upper East Regional Chairman of the Association, made the call during the Association’s maiden send-off ceremony held in Bolgatanga to honour retiring, transferred, and newly appointed members.
Mr Ayipala noted that the collective efforts of all associations in the educational space were crucial to improving quality education and national development, stressing that isolated actions could undermine progress.
“Our heroic struggle to bring quality education to the Ghanaian child will be fruitless if we don’t maintain positive collaboration, foster constructive dialogue, unity, peace, and a supportive working environment,” he stressed.
He reminded sister associations that they were part of a broader family with one common purpose, ensuring that the Ghanaian child received quality and uninterrupted education.
He stated that fostering harmony and teamwork across professional groups remained a critical element for progress within the sector.
Mr Ayipala commended the contributions of the retirees and officers assuming new roles and that the Association’s growth was built on dedication, integrity, and professionalism.
He acknowledged founding members including Alhaji Issah Bukari of Na Denza International School, Mr Asaa Richard, Madam Fawuzia Yakubu, and Mr Jacob Mboheyin, whose commitment laid the foundation for the Association’s current achievements.
Special recognition was given to Madam Fawuzia Yakubu, newly appointed Regional School Feeding Coordinator, and Mr Joseph Abaa, the District Chief Executive of Bongo.
Mr Ayipala encouraged them to uphold the standards of excellence they demonstrated within the Association.
He further appreciated key education stakeholders, including former Upper East Regional Director of Education, Mr Bright Lawoe, Madam Comfort Chirakizim, and Mr Mathew Abaeba for their guidance and support during crucial stages of the Association’s development.
Mr John Ankum, the Deputy Upper East Regional Director of the Ghana Education Service, commended the retired members of the Association for their service to the nation and appealed to the members to emulate their dedication and work for the benefit of the Ghanaian child.
The event brought together education officers, educational procurement and supply chain professionals, government officials, and members of various partner associations who pledged continued support and collaboration.
