Dormaa-Ahenkro (Bono), Nov. 11, GNA – Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu II, Paramount Chief of Dormaa Traditional Area in the Bono Region has honoured the Reverend Dr Isaac Appiah, the General Manager of Dormaa Presbyterian Hospital (DPH).
Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Badu II, and the President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs presented three building plots at Dormaa-Ahenkro and a car to the Rev Dr Appiah for his exceptional leadership and dedication to service.
He said the excellent leadership of the Rev Dr Appiah had contributed to the growth and development of the hospital, improving the quality of health of the people and Pledged to reward him with a plot of land each at Sunyani, Dormaa-Ahenkro and Tema.
The Paramount Chief said the general manager’s exemplary leadership and foresight remained unparalleled that had contributed to the improved infrastructure development at the hospital.
Osagyefo Oseadeyo Badu II made the recognition when speaking at a grand durbar to climax the 70th anniversary celebration of the Dormaa Presbyterian Hospital at Dormaa-Ahenkro.
The celebration was on the theme “Celebrating 70 years of excellence: advancing quality healthcare through innovation and modern practices”.
Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Badu II praised the Presbyterian Church of Ghana for achieving the great milestone and celebration of the 70th anniversary, saying the numerous projects executed by the church were inspiring.
The Paramount Chief also lauded the efforts of individuals and organisations, home and abroad towards the development of the hospital and acknowledged the contributions of Mr Kwaku Agyemang Manu, a former Member of Parliament and Jegri Bekala Limited, a mining company operating in the municipality.
Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Badu II said transferring Rev. Dr Appiah now would affect the operations of the hospital and called on the church and called for support towards the completion of an emergency center project at the hospital.
He advised the workers in the area to emulate the good example and leadership skills of the general manager of the hospital.
The celebration of the anniversary commenced October 29, 2025 with clean-up and tree planting exercises, health outreaches, and symposium, among others.
