Amantin, (Bono East), Nov. 17, GNA – Mr Thomas Yaw Maswud Ayarba, the Atebubu/Amantin Municipal Chief Executive in the Bono East Region has pledged to resume work and complete all the abandoned development projects initiated by the previous administration.
He said the Assembly had identified some of those abandoned projects for the resumption of work to commence.
Mr Ayarba gave the pledge when he inaugurated a maternity block constructed at the Amantin clinic at Amantin in the Municipality.
The previous administration began the construction of the ward but could not complete it, and the present administration continued with the project.
Mr Ayarba noted that development remained a process and urged the people to bury their political orientation and support the government to facilitate progressive and sustainable development in the supreme interest of the nation.
Nana Kwabena Poku, the Nifahene (sub-chief) of the Amantin Traditional Area thanked the Assembly for the facility and called on them to bring the development of the municipality to the next level.
He advised the health workers to take good care of the facility and also remain professional in the course of their duties to achieve useful health outcomes.
Dr Mireku Opoku, the Atebubu/Amantin Municipal Director of Health, also commended the assembly for completing the project.
