Retired educationist crowned Abontsendomhene at Abura Dunkwa

Abura Dunkwa (C/R), Oct. 30, GNA – Mrs Ernestina Frimpong, a retired educationist and owner of Fairweather Schools has been installed the Abontsendomhene at a colourful celebration at Abura Dunkwa in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District of the Central Region. 

With a stool name, Nana Opirim Kwansa I, she was carried in a palaquin amid drumming and dancing through the principal streets of the town. 

Speaking at the ceremony, she said her role as Abontsendomhene was to locate indigenes of the town in and outside the country, seek their welfare and solicit for their help to develop Aburaman. 

She pledged to execute her new role with all her abilities and called for support from all to achieve the desired results. 

The Abontsendomhene called for peace and co-operation from all and asked for divergent views and strategies to help solve some of the numerous challenges in the town. 

Nana Kojo Dadzie II, Guantuahene, who spoke on behalf of the Odikro Nana Owusu Koku II, advised her to use her experience and expertise in her field for the development of the community. 

The Odikro urged the elders of the community, queen mothers, youth, and citizens of the land to rally behind her, to achieve her goals. 

The Coronation was graced by traditional authorities, clergymen, politicians, and people from all social classes.
