Atebubu, (Bono East), Oct. 20, GNA – The Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) has inducted the executives of the Atebubu District Young Adult Fellowship (YAF) and the Grace Local Young Peoples Guild (YPG) into offices.
The YAF has Brother Alex Kwau Aborah and Sister Helina Nketiah as its President and Vice President, respectively.
Other members include Bro Nicholas Awuah Baffour, Secretary, Bro Philip Antwi, Assistant Secretary, Bro Jacob Amanfo, Organizer, Sis Cecilia Frimpong, Women Organizer, Sis Esther Nyamekye Gyau, Treasurer and Bro Patrick Aboagye, Chaplain.
The composition of the YPG has Bros Nana Poku Cassious as its president, Kingsley Kwabena Anane, Vice President, Mathew Agyina, Secretary, Emmanuel Kyere, Assistant Secretary, George Akwasi Antwi, Prayer secretary, Christiana Akyere, Financial Secretary, Sarah Kumah, Treasurer, Wajah Nkalebe, Male Organizer and Lucy Kanyeti Mahama, Female Organizer.
Speaking at an induction ceremony at Atebubu, the Reverend Daniel Okyie Anokye, the Atebubu District Minister of the PCG urged Christians to be persistent in prayer reminding that persistence in prayer drew God’s attention and favour.
“As Christians we must continue in prayer, and not only at the time challenges because prayer draws us closer to God,” he advised, saying “persistence in prayer is seen as a way to deepen our faith and build our trust and reliance in God”.
Rev. Anokye urged the executives to serve the Church in humility and called on them to remain ceaseless in prayers.
