Battor (V/R), Oct. 27, GNA – The North Tongu District has been adjudged the second-best performing district in the Volta Region following the 2024 Quarter Four and 2025 Quarter One Monitoring and Evaluation exercise conducted by the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC).
The recognition highlights the District’s commitment to excellence in governance, innovation, and community-centered development.
Madam Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe, the District Chief Executive (DCE), described the feat as a testament to the dedication and teamwork of Assembly staff, traditional authorities, and residents who continue to contribute to the District’s growth.
“This achievement is a reflection of our unwavering dedication to excellence in governance, innovation, and community-driven development. It is the outcome of hard work by Assembly staff, traditional leaders, and residents who continue to collaborate for progress,” she said.
She assured that the Assembly would not relent in its efforts to expand infrastructure, improve service delivery, and enhance the quality of life in all communities within the district.
“As a district, we remain focused on expanding infrastructure, improving service delivery, and enhancing livelihoods across every community. We will continue to strive for excellence and push even harder to become the best-performing district in the region,” Madam Doe added.
The VRCC’s monitoring and evaluation exercise forms part of efforts to assess and promote effective local governance and development performance across Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies in the Volta region.
