Accra, Oct. 8, GNA – In a demonstration of corporate social responsibility, Ms Nadine Jaber, Chief Executive Officer of Cosmo Developers, has donated a range of essential learning and welfare items to the Manhean T.M.A. 1 Junior High School in Tema.

The donation comprised stationery, school bags, student desks, toiletries, and refreshments, including over 200 packs of mineral water and assorted soft drinks.

The gesture forms part of Cosmo Developers’ commitment to improving the learning environment and promoting student well-being in communities where it operates.

Teachers and pupils, who gathered to witness the presentation, expressed profound gratitude for the timely intervention.

“This donation is not just about supplies; it’s about showing these students that they matter. Education is the foundation of every thriving society, and we at Cosmo Developers are proud to contribute to its growth,” Ms Jaber said.

She added: “My company is trying to make Ghana more beautiful by constructing beautiful buildings, and I love to give back to the community because the community will give back to me in the future.”

Ms Jaber also commended the teachers and management of the school for their dedication to shaping the next generation.

“Teaching is a very difficult job, but students can sometimes make it easier. So, I plead with you, the students, to support your teachers, because you are the future of Ghana,” she said.

School authorities described the donation as timely, noting that the desks would help ease classroom congestion, while the stationery and school bags would encourage active participation in lessons. The toiletries and refreshments, they added, would also promote hygiene and boost student morale.

“When we see companies coming to support our schools, it brings great joy because most of our students come from vulnerable homes, with parents struggling to make ends meet. Some of them even have to work after school to buy learning materials, while others attend classes on empty stomachs,” said Ms Christiana Ablakwa, Deputy Director for Monitoring and Supervision at the Tema Metropolitan Education Directorate.

The presentation ceremony was marked by cultural performances from the students, who also presented a handmade thank-you card and a flower bouquet to Ms Jaber and her team.

Also present at the ceremony were Ms Gifty Adjoa Mensah, Headmistress of the school, and Ms Rita Brown Fletcher, the School Improvement Support Officer (SISO) for the Awudum Circuit.

Cosmo Developers has pledged to continue supporting educational initiatives across the country, reaffirming its commitment to community development and youth empowerment.
