Kumasi, Oct. 20, GNA – The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) Clinic has resumed operations following a temporary closure by the Health Facilities Regulatory Authority (HeFRA) over licensing issues.
HeFRA on Tuesday, October 14, closed the facility as part of its enforcement exercise to clamp down on health facilities operating within the Kumasi Metropolis without proper licenses.
However, a statement issued by the KMA and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) indicated that, the closure stemmed from licensing discrepancies, which had since been resolved between the Assembly and HeFRA.
The statement assured the public that the facility remained fully committed to delivering quality and reliable healthcare services to residents of the Metropolis.
“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience the temporary closure may have caused and appreciate the cooperation and understanding of all stakeholders,” the statement added.
