Kumasi, Nov. 04, GNA – The Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana (PAOG) is set to participate in this year’s Hajj Conference in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, scheduled to take place from November 08 to 11, 2026.

This sixth annual event is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader initiative to enhance the Hajj services ecosystem, elevate service standards, and support the strategic objectives of Vision 2030 and the Pilgrim Experience Programme (PEP).

For Ghana, participation in the Hajj 2027 Conference is crucial to ensuring the nation remains fully aligned with all operational requirements, guidelines, and regulations for the 2027 Hajj season.

A press release issued on November 03, 2026, and signed by Alhaji Mohammed Amin Lamptey, the Communications Director for PAOG copied to the Ghana News Agency, noted that, the annual event was organised by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, with key support from Saudi Arabia’s Pilgrim Experience Programme.

The statement indicated that, the conference would assemble over 520 local and international organisations from the public, private, and non-profit sectors, including the PAOG, to standardise Hajj processes in the lead-up to 2030.

It said the conference would be held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

It added that the conference would mark a critical milestone in preparations for the upcoming 1448 AH Hajj season, with discussions centering on contracts, operational and regulatory frameworks, innovative initiatives, strategic partnerships, and overall seasonal readiness.

The Sixth Hajj Conference and Exhibition would gather officials, leaders, and specialists from across the Hajj services sector to explore avenues for elevating service delivery and enhancing the supporting systems for the annual pilgrimage, the statement noted.

The statement also indicated that discussions would revolve around three primary themes: infrastructure and operational services, empowerment and integration, and sustainable development.

The event would feature more than 15 interactive zones and programmes, including the Hajj Conference, the Hajj Council, specialised workshops, entrepreneurship and innovation showcase, a hackathon, and a dedicated business center.

An Awareness and Training Forum would also make its debut at the event, alongside specialised hubs dedicated to technology, healthcare, media, and aviation, it added.

Furthermore, a special meeting for the heads of Hajj Affairs Offices would offer a vital platform for national pilgrimage administrations to discuss service delivery, strengthen institutional ties, and explore collaborative partnerships.

The statement disclosed that the conference was expected to foster opportunities for constructive dialogue, showcase innovative solutions, and facilitate partnership building among all organisations dedicated to serving pilgrims.

Preparations for the Ghanaian delegation’s participation in the conference are underway in advance, to ensure a seamless and successful outing, the statement said.

Alhaji Abdul-Rauf Tanko Ibrahim, the Chairman of the Hajj Board, therefore extended his warmest greetings and appreciation to all stakeholders in Ghana’s Hajj operations for their continued commitment and effective partnership, the statement said.

He also commended the medical team and the communications directorate for their exemplary work so far, urging them to sustain their dedicated efforts in the lead-up to the 2027 Hajj operations.
