Takoradi, Oct. 25, GNA – Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli II, remains the gazetted chief of the Eastern Nzema Traditional Area.

He has therefore been urged to come back to the area, to continue development projects.

Nana Etwe Kpanyinli VI, Chief of Anyinase and a member of the King Makers of the Paramountcy, made the call a press Conference on Friday.

Some six months ago, the Chief had to flee for his life and seek “asylum” elsewhere because of some chieftaincy clashes between him and his direct nephew Awulae Blay.

The Chief of Anyinase, accompanied by other prominent chiefs and citizens of the Eastern Nzema said: “We, the Traditional Council, had not sat on any such case of destoolment to declare that Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli VI is not our Paramount Chief.”

He, therefore, called on the police to as a matter of urgency investigate and bring to book those individuals creating tension and disrupting the peace of the area.

Nana Kwabena Bentum II, Salima Chief, described the current happenings in the Atuabo area as uncalled for, saying it needed an urgent government intervention to end the growing tension in the area.

He noted that the laws of the country must crack the whip against all offenders within the paramountcy.

Nana Simali Kpanyinli V, the Chief of Anwia, said the Police must ensure that peace and sanity prevailed to propel development.
