Aboadze (W/R), Sept. 01, GNA – Twyford Ghana Ceramics Company Limited, a leading ceramics manufacturer in West Africa, is partnering the Confucius Institute at the Universities of Ghana (UG) and Cape Coast (UCC) respectively, to foster cultural exchange and champion educational growth.
The collaboration is part of Twyford Ghana’s commitment towards building stronger communities and promoting cultural understanding between Ghana and China.
The Micasso brand, which is Twyford Ghana’s premium tile brand, recently sponsored the Micasso Chinese Lecture Series, supporting 25 outstanding Ghanaian diplomatic talents to complete the defence of their thesis and graduation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.
The company also welcomed students and Chinese language teachers from the Confucius Institute at the University of Cape Coast, where they would engage in a translation internship, bridging communication gaps and enhancing cultural exchange between the two nations.
Mr Liu Yunzeng, the Manager of Micasso, said the company believed in more than just producing world-class ceramic tiles and was committed to empowering education, fostering cultural exchange, and building stronger communities.
He said the partnership was a significant step towards strengthening Ghana-China relations and empowering future leaders.
He said: “Just as our tiles embody craftsmanship, durability, and timeless beauty, we hope our contribution inspires future leaders to reach new heights.”
The Confucius Institute, established in 2016 at the University of Cape Coast, aims to promote Chinese language and culture in Ghana, with over 3,500 students enrolled and becoming a hub for cultural exchange and language learning.
