Battor (V/R), Sept. 27, GNA – Madam Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for North Tongu, has embarked on a working visit to offices of the district offices to follow up on development-related issues affecting the district.

The DCE announced that work on the Juapong–Podoe–Abuatia–Ho Road is expected to commence next week, following commitments made by the contractor to mobilise to site.

During her engagement with the Volta Regional Police Command, Madam Doe highlighted the logistical challenges facing the Aveyime–Battor, Juapong and Mepe police divisions, which require vehicles, motorbikes and other resources to enhance security and patrol operations.

She also held discussions with the Department of Urban Roads and the Ghana Highways Authority, where she received assurances that both trunk and internal roads within the district would soon undergo improvements.

The DCE further emphasised employment creation as part of her development agenda, noting that opportunities would be pursued alongside infrastructure upgrades to boost livelihoods.

She urged residents to support the Assembly’s programmes and to collaborate with the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, in advancing the district’s development agenda.
