Seventh Volta Trade & Investment Fair to be launched in Juapong

Ho (V/R), Aug. 23, GNA – The Organising Committee of the 7th Volta Trade and Investment Fair has announced that the official launch of this year’s fair will take place on Monday, August 25, 2025, in Juapong, paving the way for Ghana’s first-ever 24-hour trade fair to be held in Ho this November.

Volta Regional Minister, Mr. James Gunu, said the choice of Juapong for the launch was deliberate, aimed at highlighting the town’s potential as a business hub while drawing investor attention to the struggling Volta Star Textiles Company.

He explained that hosting the launch outside the regional capital also signalled that the Volta Region’s investment opportunities go far beyond Ho.

In a statement signed by Mr. Fred Avornyo, Chief Executive Officer of the Fair, organisers disclosed that the main event would run from November 26 to December 8, 2025, on the theme: “Volta Rising: Building Global Partnerships for a Thriving 24-Hour Economy.”

For the first time in Ghana, the fair will operate round-the-clock on selected days, combining trade exhibitions with tourism, culture, and entertainment.

Mr. Avornyo noted that the Volta Fair had, over the years, become a flagship public-private partnership platform, positioning the region as a competitive hub for trade, tourism, industry, and innovation.

This year’s edition promises to be the most ambitious yet. Pre-fair activities will feature corporate fun games, the “Visit Volta: Experience Ghana” tour, and a tourism and culture essay competition for schools.

The main fair will also host high-level events such as the Volta Investment Summit, Women in Entrepreneurship Summit, Youth in Entrepreneurship Summit, ICT and Innovation Forum, and a Packaging Technology Workshop.

Other major highlights include the Ghana-India Business Dinner, Creative Arts Forum, Farmers Day celebrations, and District Days.

The fair is expected to attract businesses and investors from across Ghana and international delegations from Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Kenya, Namibia, India, Malaysia, and other countries—underscoring its rising global profile.

The August 25 launch in Juapong will officially begin the countdown to what organisers describe as a groundbreaking edition of the Volta Trade and Investment Fair—one that will redefine regional investment promotion through a 24-hour model, global partnerships, and a dynamic fusion of business and culture.
