Odumase-Krobo (E/R), Aug 04, GNA – Samsalo Preparatory School, a leading private basic institution in Odumase-Krobo in the Eastern Region, has held its annual graduation and send-off ceremony, calling on parents and stakeholders to deepen their commitment to children’s education.

Held under the theme “Celebrating Excellence, Inspiring Greatness,” the event drew a diverse audience including parents, teachers, traditional leaders, and dignitaries from across the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality.

The ceremony celebrated both academic and moral achievements, with 26 pupils graduating from various levels, including 13 Basic Six learners transitioning to Junior High School.

Delivering the keynote address, Mr. Godfred Ofoe Ceaser, Eastern Regional Director of the School Health Education Programme, underscored the role of discipline, consistency, and hard work in achieving excellence.

“Excellence does not happen by chance; it is the result of focus, effort, and the courage to push beyond one’s comfort zone,” Mr. Ceaser said.

â€œYour success today is a beacon of hope and possibility for your peers,” he added.

He emphasised that every child holds the potential for greatness – whether through academic performance, personal growth, extracurricular contributions, or quiet leadership.

“Even the smallest act of integrity can shape a great future,” he added, urging students to dream boldly, respect authority, and cultivate values like honesty and resilience, Mr. Caesar said.

Mrs. Vivian M. Owusu, Headmistress of Samsalo Preparatory School, encouraged the children to uphold the principles instilled during their time at Samsalo.

“Today marks the beginning of a new chapter,” she said, adding, let discipline, respect, and perseverance guide your steps. You are capable of achieving greatness, go and make us proud.”

In a message to parents, the Paramount Queen of the Ningo Traditional Area, Naana Dugbakuor Dugba II, stressed that education remained the most secure investment in a child’s future.

“We invest in buildings and property hoping our children will inherit them, but sometimes, they don’t,” she said, but noted however that, “but when you invest in their education, that is something no one can ever take away.”

The ceremony featured cultural performances, musical interludes, and awards for outstanding students.

It ended with jubilant celebrations as proud parents and teachers marked the beginning of a new academic journey for the graduates.
