Takoradi, Aug 04, GNA – Mr Fiifi Boafo, a former Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD), has called on parents and teachers to provide holistic education for their children to awaken their curiosity, foster resilience, and promote values that bind society.
He said there was the need to invest in the educational needs of young people to move beyond focusing on passing examinations, and create an ecosystem that nurtured their talents for future successes.
Mr Boafo said this at the Fifth Graduation and Prize Giving Day of Starhill International School, in Tarkwa as a special guest.
He stated that children deserved spaces where they could learn not only academics but also essential life skills, empathy for one another, and the importance of giving back to the society.
“They must be able to grasp the significance of being responsible citizens, and institutions like Starhill International School are key in providing such education,” he added.
Mr Boafo noted that Starhill was one of the schools that had served as the foundation for raising scholars, innovators, and leaders who would contribute positively to their communities and the country in general.
He said: “For the past five years, we have witnessed the school’s dedication to excellence, the all-around development of each child, and the encouragement of creativity and critical thinking among the students, and these attributions are invaluable in equipping the children for the realities of the world they will traverse.”
He encouraged the administration, teachers, and parents of Starhill to continue striving for excellence, noting that their unwavering commitment to the development of the children would help address the complex challenges of the world.

Mr Boafo congratulated the graduates for their success, and urged them to carry the momentum into their next chapter, saying; “You all play critical roles in this narrative, and together, you can create a ripple effect that extends far beyond your immediate surroundings.”
Nana Kwame Yeboah, the Director of the School, called for the support of stakeholders to help Starhill School to continue providing quality education for the people of Tarkwa and beyond.
He gave the assurance that management would continue to work hard to ensure that the school achieved its set objectives as had been demonstrated over the past years.
