Berekum, (Bono), Aug 13, GNA – Apostle Patrick Yeboah Afari, the Founder and Leader of the Spirit of God Healing Church in the Berekum East Municipality of the Bono Region, has sympathised with the bereaved families of the recent military helicopter crash.

He urged Ghanaians in general to humbly heed to the prophecies from the Ministers of God, seek spiritual guidance and protect themselves against impending calamities.

The late Dr Edward Omane Boamah, the Minister of Defence, and Dr Alhaji Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, together with six others, died in the fatal crash, which happened in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region on Wednesday August 6, 2025.

Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Berekum, Apostle Afari urged the clergy to pray for the nation persistently, asking particularly, those men of God who received those calamitous prophecies to also endeavour to pray to stop them from happening.

He said: “God reveals to redeem, however it behooves on those whom such prophecies are directed to, to remain humble and seek spiritual guidance to stop it,” saying, “the nation can pay dearly until the declining respect for men of God and the disregard of prophecies are stopped.”

Apostle Afari admitted that though some men of God had swayed, that was not justification for the nation or individuals to disrespect and disregard prophecies.
