Kumasi, Aug. 08, GNA – The Ghana National Association of Private Vocational and Technical Institutions (GNAPVTI), has extended a heartfelt condolence to the government and families of persons involved in the helicopter crash on Wednesday, August 06, 2025.
The incident, which occurred in a forest reserve near Brofoyedu Sikaman in the Adansi South District, claimed the lives of top government officials including Ghana’s Defense Minister, Dr Edward Omani Boamah and the Dr Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, and six others.
A statement signed by Mrs Aretha Ama Graham Addai, the National President, GNAPVTI and made available to the Ghana News Agency, said the Association was “deeply saddened by the tragic loss of the eight Ghanaian heroes who perished in the accident.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to His Excellency, President John Dramani Mahama and the bereaved families”.
The statement said “we honor the memory of the lost heroes, recognising their contributions to our nation. May their legacy inspire future generations”.
The GNAPVTI pledged its stance in solidarity with the bereaved families and the nation during this difficult time and prayed for strength and comfort for all Ghanaians.
