Sunyani, (Bono), Aug. 26, GNA – Candidates writing the on-going 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) have been urged to be disciplined and confident in answering their papers.
They must also guard against examination malpractices that can lead to the cancellation of subjects and the entire results.
The Global Media Foundation (GloMeF), a Sunyani-based media advocacy, anti-corruption and human rights Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), gave the advice in a statement issued and signed by its founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Raphael Godlove Ahenu.
A copy of the statement made available to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani on Tuesday, said cheating and pilfering in the examination remained serious offences, and urged the candidates to be honest as they strived for academic excellence.
It said: “Your hard work, honesty, and dedication will not only make you proud, but also bring honour to your schools, families, and communities”.
The statement indicated that passing the WASSCE represented more than an academic milestone, “but a springboard to the pinnacle of the candidates lives and future opportunities” and wished the candidates best of successes.
