Accra, July 21, GNA- Mr. Alok Singhal, Head- Sub-Saharan Africa, VFS Global, says with the Ultra Centre for Licensing and Vehicle Registration in Accra, VFS Global is confident of delivering applicants a world-class service experience.  

He said VFS would do this by leveraging our global experience of providing transparent and scalable solutions in the citizen services space.  

Mr Singhal was speaking during a visit to the Driver and Vehicle License Authority (DVLA) Ultra Centre for Licensing and Vehicle Registration operated by Bridge Direct in collaboration with VFS Global.   

Since July 2024, Citizens and residents of Accra have been able to apply for their Vehicle and Driver’s License applications at the Centre.  

The Centre offers applicants a convenient and comfortable environment for submitting their Vehicle and License applications.   

Mr. Alok Singhal, Head- Sub-Saharan Africa, VFS Global said the conveniently located Centre would offer a more personalised experience and is equipped to handle higher application volumes with expedited processing times.  

He said Key services at the Ultra Centre include Driver’s Licence Renewal, Replacement of Licenses, Amendment of records, Missing Licence, International Driving Permit, Foreign License Conversion, 
Vehicle Registration and International Vehicle Permit.

Mr Foster Akwasi Asante, Esq, Deputy Chief Executive of DVLA, said, “The operation of Ultra Centres by DVLA in partnership with the private sector falls within the vision of DVLA to bring world-class services closer to the people.”  

He said the Authority recognised the need to decentralize its services to the people with the view to certifying every driver who sits behind the steering wheel after ensuring that they meet all requirements for certification and issuance of a driver’s licence.   

“In view of this, I want to urge the general public to approach any of our offices including the Ultra Centres for driver licence acquisition with ease,” he added.
