Accra, July 25, GNA – Madam Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, has underscored the need for strategic collaboration to improve tourist inflows and experiences in Ghana.
She made the remarks during a working visit to the Nkyinkyim Museum at Nuhalenua in Ada, as part of efforts to deepen engagement with private cultural institutions and promote tourism development.
The Minister acknowledged the distinctive cultural importance of the Nkyinkyim Museum, emphasising its potential to support the advancement of Ghana’s national tourism strategy.

She noted that religious tourism, cultural heritage, and the creative arts play a vital role in attracting both domestic and international visitors and emphasised the need for unified efforts to elevate Ghana’s cultural tourism profile.
A task team was subsequently constituted to facilitate cooperation between the Ministry, its agencies, and the Museum. Members of the team include Madam Gomashie; Dr. Collins Nunyonameh, Director of the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park; and Mr. Essel Blankson of the Ghana Museums and Monuments Board.

Other members include Professor Cobby Mensah, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Development Company; Mr. Kwame Akoto Bamfo, Founder and Director of the Nkyinkyim Museum; and Dr. Mary Yeboah, Co-Director of the Museum.
“The task team is expected to design actionable plans to support site development, programming, and marketing initiatives that position the Museum as a pivotal attraction within Ghana’s tourism landscape,” the Minister added.
Mr. Bamfo welcomed the initiative, describing the visit as a progressive step toward fostering effective public-private partnerships to boost the sector.
The Nkyinkyim Museum is a dynamic cultural institution that integrates African art, history, and performance with traditional rites, cuisine, drumming, and dance.
Its exhibitions aim to promote healing and restorative justice in response to the legacies of African enslavement and colonialism.
