The facilities, located at the school park in Anoenu and at the Torgbui Fiti Palace Junction in Agblekpui, all in the Volta Region, are to help mitigate water crisis in the communities.
Madam Gomashie, during the commissioning ceremony held at Anoenu, expressed gratitude to TUDEC for honouring her request to supply water to the two communities in the constituency to contribute to the improvement and development of people in the area.
“Access to clean water is crucial for the health and well-being of communities. These mechanised boreholes are expected to improve water access for the people of Anoenu and Agblekpui,” she said.

She explained that the commissioning of the mechanised boreholes marked a positive development for Anoenu and Agblekpui communities and the residents were expected to benefit significantly from the improved access to clean water.
Mr Cefar Tepeli, the President of TUDEC, urged the beneficiaries to utilise the water facilities effectively.
He emphasized the importance of clean water for the communities and how it would also improve their health and daily activities.
“TUDEC is based in Accra, our focus is on promoting communities and we have attracted nearly $600 million in investments from international businesses into Ghana’s economy and providing clean water to communities is a significant part of their work.”
