Wiawso MCE encourages BECE candidates to have confidence

Sefwi-Wiawso, (WN/ June 11, GNA-Mr Dominic Gyasi, Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), has urged Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) candidates in the municipality to have confidence in themselves and pass their exams successfully.  

He was speaking to the Ghana News Agency when he toured some centres in municipality to monitor progress of the examination. 

He expressed satisfaction at the smooth start of the examination and hoped it would continue until the end of the exam.  

Mr Gyasi extended the President’s well wishes to the candidates, and said the Municipal Assembly would do everything possible to ensure they had incident free examination period and asked them to conduct themselves well to bring honour to their parents and the municipality at large. 

The MCE urged them not to fear fear and come out victoriously to progress higher on the academic ladder. 

Mr Michael Kwarteng, the Municipal Examination Coordinator, expressed satisfaction in the smooth conduct of the examination within the municipality so far, and lauded all major stakeholders for their efforts.  

He disclosed that the Municipality had 107 examination centres with a total of 3,291 candidates made up of 1,665 males and 1,626 females from 77 public and 33 private schools registered to write the examination.
