Agbodokope (VR), June 10, GNA – Mr. Lord Dotsey Hammond Agbogedenu, the Assemblyman of Taskconer Electoral Area in the Ketu South Municipality of the Volta Region, has supported about hundred Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in the area.
The donations include mathematical sets, rulers, and pens to some beneficiary schools such as Taskconer Evangelical Presbyterian Basic School and Good Shepherd Academy and Agbodokope Basic School in the Nyakornakpoe electoral area.
Mr. Agbogedenu in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, during the donation at Agbodokope basic school, said that the donation was to encourage and give hope to all final year students to excel in the examination without any challenges.
“I must commend Dr. Francis Sakora Kpormego Agboyibor, a philanthropist who made it possible through various donations for the initiative today,” he said.
Mr. Agbogedenu promised that the initiative which was expected to benefit all final-year students in the area would be an annual event and urged other individuals to support the initiative and expand it to other schools in the area for all students in the Ketu South Municipality to benefit.
He pledged to provide transportation support for the students of Taskconer E.P Basic School and Good Shepherd Academy, to and from the examination centre at Aflao until the end of the examinations.


“Education is very important to develop our communities, and we must support our future leaders, l am also urging our students to study hard and aim for excellence in the final exams since education can enable individuals to achieve greater dreams.”
Mr. Hasan Afanyedor Agbogedenu, School Management Committee chairperson for Taskconer E.P Basic School, and Mr. Julius Kuaduga the Headmaster of Agbodokope basic school, who received the donations on behalf of the students expressed their gratitude to the donors.
They promised to guide students to use the items for the rightful purpose for their own benefit.
Some beneficiary students who GNA engaged thanked the donors for their kind gestures which would help them to embark on a smooth and successful final year examination journey which would commence on Wednesday, June 11 to 18.
Some other teachers who spoke to GNA also expressed satisfaction about the donation which has brought joy and support to the final-year students in the area and described the Assemblyman’s commitment to education as a welcome development and expected the initiative to have a positive impact on the academic performance of the students.
