Twifo Otweykurom (C/R), May 08, GNA – Mrs Augustina Atakorah, the Twifo Atti Morkwa District Director of Education has urged stakeholders in education to support with the provision of infrastructure in the district.

Highlighting the urgent need for educational resources, Mrs. Atakorah noted that Twifo Atti Morkwa was currently facing significant obstacles regarding school facilities.

She made the call when Mr Isaac Yawson, the District Chief Executive for TwifoAtti-Morkwa, presented building materials to the Otweykurom community following a rainstorm that collapsed a 60-year-old classroom structure built by the local community.

She called on philanthropists and corporate institutions to contribute to construct a new school building for the community.

Mrs Atakorah took the opportunity to advice students to stay away from drugs and concentrate on their education.

Parents should also take up the responsibility to guide their wards and counsel them to eschew the abuse of drugs and other social vices.

Mr Yawson on his part, emphasised that government efforts alone was insufficient to drive the country’s progress and called on NGOs to join the mission of improving educational facilities in the area.

He implored the government and NGOs to provide aid to their community to create appropriate educational environment for their children.
