Hohoe (V/R), May 16, GNA – Mr Prosper Kumi, Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), has urged staff of the Assembly to work together for the success of his administration and the development of the Municipality.
He urged them to develop a positive attitude towards work such as attendance at work.
Mr Kumi was addressing staff of the various decentralised departments and units of the Assembly during a durbar, adding that it was a humbling opportunity for him to serve.
He said it was the hope that within the next four years, the Municipality would become one of the best.
Mr Kumi said his vision was to ensure that the Assembly attained a Metropolitan status.
He said revenue mobilisation was key to the development of the Assembly, which could lead to the employment of new staff.
Mr Kumi noted that no impediments should prevent the Assembly from generating GH¢6 million annually.
He said he would provide the necessary assistance in the regard, adding that a revenue vehicle would be ready due to use with the help of management.


Mr Kumi said measures were being put in place to decentralise revenue collection within the traditional areas in the Municipality.
He said he was committed to the Welfare scheme of the staff and would do his best to make it better for members.
Mr Kumi said the Assembly planned to engage in Public-Private Partnership to develop the Assembly’s Hall into an auditorium serving as a source of generate revenue.
He said the Hohoe Light Industrial Area was a game changer and with its completion, it would improve the economic growth of the Municipality.
Mr Kumi also noted that the completion of the Fodome Campus of the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) as well as the Fodome to Hohoe road.
