Adidome (V/R), Feb. 19, GNA – Stakeholders and residents of Adidome in the Central Tongu district of the Volta Region are set to meet with the management of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to address concerns over a recent power disconnection exercise carried out in the area.

The meeting, scheduled for Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the Old District Assembly Hall in Adidome, was announced by Mr Guggisberg Fiagbenu, the Assembly Member of Adidome Central Electoral Area.

According to Mr. Fiagbenu, the meeting aims to resolve issues related to the power disconnection exercise, which was conducted without prior notice, causing significant inconvenience and economic hardship for many households and businesses in the area.

Residents have raised concerns about the lack of actual bills, issuance of estimated bills, insufficient communication, and misconduct by ECG staff.

Mr Fiagbenu emphasized the need for a prompt response and resolution to the matter, saying residents were willing to work with the ECG to find an amicable solution.

The Volta Regional Public Relations Officer of the ECG, Ms. Eunice Tweneboah-Kodua, has confirmed the company’s readiness to engage with the stakeholders and residents to address their concerns.

All residents who have been affected by the power disconnection exercise are urged to attend the meeting, bringing along relevant documentation or evidence to support their claims.
