Dambai (O/R) Dec 6, GNA- The Oti Region is gearing up for a parliamentary contest, with a total of 26 hopefuls vying for seats.
Mr. Nuhu Mahama, the Oti Regional Director of Electoral Commission (EC), told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the 26 parliamentary candidates were contesting for seats in the various constituencies within the Oti Region.
Some of the constituencies are Buem, Guan, Biakoye, Akan, Krachi East, Krachi East, Krachi Nchumuru, Nkwanta South and Nkwanta North.
He said the region has a total of 1,004 polling stations and nine special voting centres.
A total of 423,765 registered voters are expected to exercise their franchise on Saturday.
